Happy and excited to say I graduated with Cum Laude Honors at Salve Regina University last weekend with my BSN (soon to be RN). So thankful to have received an amazing education at this school. Also so thankful for my family and friends who have supported me these last 4 years. I am so excited to also have accepted a job offer at Westerly Hopsital😀

It's heartening to see you setting an example for your daughter and being a role for her. Parents can be the best guiding light and role models for their children. By demonstrating values, work ethic, and resilience, they can not only prepare their kids for success in the professional life but also equip them with the moral compass to make the right choices. In today's fast-paced world, achieving that balance between personal and professional life is no small feat, especially for working parents in growing economic crisis. Organizations that recognize the importance of family support, provide daycare & other necessary facilities are the one who create a more inclusive and supportive work culture for married employees.#worklifebalance #inclusion #diversity

My entire professional life (so far) snowballed from a random conversation at a party, let me explain:2019: I'd just graduated and was job hunting. Went to a party (reluctantly) and spoke to a stranger who asked me what I wanted to do and then told me to apply at the agency he worked for. That's how I got my first job. 2021: My reporting manager at that job asked me to check out the PGDM course she pursued, when I told her I wanted to study further. That's where I ended up doing my post-grad. 2022: An ex-colleague (from the first job) met me right before I graduated and asked me to join him. That's how I got my second job. 2024: Got my next job because an alert on the alum group (of the PGDM course) popped up. The last 5 years of my professional life would've been completely different if I didn't go for that party. NEVER underestimate the value of "randomness".

Komplete Business Dietetic Internship

You'll never get this opportunity again. As a dietetic intern, you have the very unique opportunity to try out different roles and companies for a few weeks at a time. Curious about dialysis because you've heard it pays well, but not sure what it entails? This is your chance to test the waters for a few weeks to discover if it's a good fit for you. Many of our interns fall in love with renal because they ❤️➡️ Providing 1:1 education and developing rapport with clients ➡️ Delving into the complex science of renal MNT ➡️ Collaborating with the healthcare team and making a true impact. You also get to complete fun educational presentations for the community and the clinic. Luke, a recent KBDI graduate, enjoyed teaching dialysis patients all about ways to hydrate while being mindful of sodium. ❓If you're a future RD, what rotations are you most curious about? ❓If you're currently an RD, what rotation do you wish you would have done? #rdn #nutritionstudent #dieteticintern #rd2be

Month 7 of comm serv! 😭💊 This journey has been a true rollercoster. Coming from a tertiary hospital, where I completed my internship, and now being at a smaller district hospital has been challenging (you would assume it would be the other way around!😅). But here’s a few things I have learnt so far:💊 Medicine shortages are a thing. Working at a big, tertiary hospital where almost every medication was available, and then coming to a smaller district hospital really opened my eyes to some realities of the public healthcare system. 💊 You work with what you have. I believe I cannot explain this, you just have to go through it to understand.💊 You will, unfortunately, have to ration out medication supply. This disturbed me so much when I first started, but as time goes, you get to understand why some things are the way they are. 💊 Compassion. Patients come from all walks of life, and the last thing they want is a healthcare provider that is not concerned about their well-being. Go an extra mile, dismantle the “pharmacist always being behing the window” norm and go out the pharmacy to dispense to that patient in crutches/ a wheelchair that is struggling to get to the dispensary window. 💊 You can never know enough. There is always room to improve, learn more, do more, and be more. One of the qualities of being a pharmacist is being a life-long learner, and we owe it to our patients to keep abreast with new information so that we remain competent and able to serve them to the best of our abilities 💊💗💗5 more months. Let’s go!!!!

19th August 2023: So conducted my first placement drive post-college and it got me thinking of my brief time in Navalt. I have seen so many people here, who go far beyond what was required or asked of them. Most people are not like that. They do their job, they get paid and they go home. In fact, I think it’s a rare thing to find someone who will step up and take on extra responsibility without being asked or told to do so.My manager reasons it as a sense of ownership of the brand, the job, and the company and I agree, but there's something even more vitally missing from the equation, Purpose. In my opinion, purpose is the reason why you do what you do. It’s that thing that makes your job meaningful and not just a paycheck. People often want to be part of something bigger than themselves, and so when they find it, they feel like their role in the company matters, which makes them want to do more and be better. And so, here marks the beginning of my quest to discover my purpose in Navalt and I hope the selected few from the drive find theirs too.
